Royal Automobile Association RAC key from the period when they had assistance boxes along the motorway set up after ww11  to nthe early 1960s. The boxes of both AA & RAC organisations were set up along the motorways to offer assistance to motorists. Each box was numbered & originally had watchmen. Eventually phones were installed & keys made so that members could be given access to call for assistance. Each box was numbered for ease of identifying the location. The RAC was the smaller organisation & thus keys for their boxes are rarer & more expensive than the AA keys. I have both listed.
