Sch 80 Clear PVC 1-1/4 Inch True Union Y Strainer with Socket Ends

Y-strainers are a versatile filtration method that allow users to save space and install their filtration equipment vertically or horizontally. PVC Y-strainers are named such because of the filter leg that connects to the main pipe at a diagonal angle. A cylindrical strainer basket is inserted into the leg and catches debris as liquid flows through. When it is time to clean the basket, the cap at the end of the diagonal leg can be removed without much trouble, allowing the user to remove and clean the strainer basket whenever it is full.
