Focal's K2 Power range is a fourth-generation revamp of its flagship in-car speaker line. The iconic yellow cone remains the centrepiece, designed to deliver hi-fi-grade sound in a car environment.
K2 performance
The ES 165 KE kit comprises two 6 1/2" (165 mm) woofers and two TKME inverted dome tweeters. It is compact and straightforward to install. If you need a more budget-friendly 6.5-inch option, Focal also offer the Focal 165 AS Access Series 2-way component speakers.
The K2 Sandwich cones are built from an ultralight foam core sandwiched between a layer of aramid fibre and a layer of fibreglass. This construction balances rigidity, lightness and damping for precise, dynamic sound reproduction.
TKME inverted dome tweeters
The TKME tweeters use an aramid fibre dome with an exclusive 'M'-shaped profile. This profile improves control over cone deformation and ensures smooth, accurate high-frequency reproduction. Tweeters can be mounted in factory locations, flush, or on angled brackets. Aluminium grilles are included.
Progressive spider
The progressive spider on the K2 Power woofers uses a progressive section to reproduce bass impact accurately and increase linearity, precision and dynamics.
Radial VC cooling system
The Radial VC cooling system vents hot air from the voice coil through 6 holes towards the base of the motor. This controls coil temperature, reduces heat compression, improves reliability and sustains high dynamic output.
