These superb Lewis chessmen have been beautifully crafted in the UK, just near to the border of Devon and Somerset. They are extremely accurate reproductions of the famous Lewis chessmen, with this smaller edition featuring a 2.75-inch high king. This makes the set ideal for a chessboard of around sixteen inches.

Many of the larger, or full-size, Lewis chess sets require such a huge board that they become a bit impractical for a lot of homes. Despite their smaller size, these Isle of Lewis chessmen retain all of the fine detail but on a more manageable scale. Each piece has been expertly felted on the base. A really lovely piece of history with the benefit of additional queens.
