A lovely 16.75-inch chessboard crafted in Spain by Rechapados Ferrer from walnut and maple veneers with a billiard cloth base that doubles as the hinge.

The ebonised border on this board ‘sets off’ ebonised chessmen beautifully, and the 1.9-inch squares allow it to accommodate slightly larger pieces than a normal 16-inch board.
