?1. Remote Control Failure (Most Common)
?This is the single most frequent indicator that the logic board is failing while the motor itself is fine.
Total Radio Silence: None of your remotes work, even with fresh batteries.
Refusal to Program: The unit will not enter "Learn" mode. When you press the purple button, the LED either doesn't light up at all or never blinks to confirm it has accepted a new code.
Drastically Reduced Range: The remotes only work when you are standing inside the garage, practically touching the antenna wire.
"Ghost" Openings: The door opens or closes on its own without anyone pressing a button (often caused by shorts in the receiver circuit).
?2. Strange Motor Behavior
The "Click" of Death: When you press the wall button, you hear a distinct click from the motor unit (the relay engaging), but the motor does not turn.
Note: This can also be caused by a bad start capacitor. See the troubleshooting section below.
Stops or Reverses Randomly: The door starts to move but stops or reverses for no apparent reason, even though the tracks are clear and the force settings are correct.
One-Way Operation: The door will open but refuses to close (often accompanied by the main light flashing), even though the safety sensors are aligned and glowing steady.
?3. Power & Lighting Anomalies
Dead Wall Control: The LED on your wall-mounted push button goes dark or flickers, and the button ceases to function.
Main Light Malfunction: The light bulb on the opener stays on permanently and won't turn off, or it never turns on at all.
Intermittent Power: The unit acts completely dead (no lights, no sound) but then randomly starts working again later. This is often due to a hairline crack in the solder joints on the back of the board that expands and contracts with temperature changes.
