Although the date on this token is 1924, according to the Atwood-Coffee Catalogue of of United States and Canadian Transportation Tokens (7th Edition, 2020), this token was produced starting in 1943. Its zinc composition is consistent with many other coins and tokens during WWII when nickel, steel, and copper were in short public supply.
