This is an absolutely incredible kayak.  Designed and built by Don Goss of Michigan.  The design is based on the Nick Schade Night Heron.  This craft is lower volume, sleek, very fast, and unbelievably easy to roll. The workmanship of the build is flawless.  Lines are unbelievable.  Fit and finish better than most manufactured high-end fiberglass kayaks on the market. The integral fixed skeg at first, to me, seemed almost redundant. Then I figured it out.  This boat wants to go straight.  At  17' 7" in length, 18.5" wide at the cockpit, with virtually no rocker, a basic lean turn takes some effort.  But try a basic bow jam, and this sweetheart turns sharper than you would ever believe a kayak this long possibly could.  Must be paddled to truly appreciate. I've been hesitant to put it up for sale, but since relocating to Texas, I'm doing more river running. Don't get out on big water much these days.  So this piece of art has been mostly hanging in my garage collecting dust.  Time for someone else to enjoy it. Built in foot-operated bilge pump works fine.  LOCAL  PICKUP  ONLY.   Located in Central Texas,  90 minute's or less from both Austin and San Antonio.  Thanks for looking.
