Broken Arrow is a classic Western television series which ran on ABC-TV in prime time from 1956 through 1958.
The series stars John Lupton as Indian agent Tom Jeffords and Michael Ansara as Apache Chief Cochise.
Set in Arizona during the frontier era, the story follows Jeffords, originally an army officer assigned to help get the U.S. Mail safely through Apache territory. Rather than relying on violence, Jeffords adopts the unusual approach of making peace with the Apache people.
Jeffords soon becomes blood brother to Chief Cochise. Together they fight injustice, renegades from the Chiricahua Reservation, and dishonest outsiders who prey upon the Indians.
Broken Arrow is a thoughtful and action-packed Western adventure series with strong themes of loyalty, justice, friendship, and frontier honour.
