She’s a study in versatility - acting in

community theatre, playing the dulcimer,

singing, composing, writing, radio announcing

and somehow never runs out of the energy or

the time to do it all. Well! In her years on the

announcing staff of WBBI/WABN, Abingdon,

she has gained a wide following among her

many loyal fans, and is much in demand as M/C

at bluegrass festivals throughout the five state

area. Most recently she serves as the announcer

and M/C for a popular new program 'Bluegrass

- Saturday Night Live" from the Washington

County, Virginia fairgrounds and carried live

on WBBI-WABN. The Mountain Mama flatfoots

with the best of them and sometime during the

evening entertains the fans with songs sure to

please. Two of her most requested numbers,

"Redwing" and "Rubber Dolly" are featured on

the album. From fans of bluegrass to country

(she has songs under contract in Nashville) to

traditional songs of the mountains, she sings to
