“S. P. Depot, Antonio, Texas.”

“Pub. by The NIC. Tengg, San Antonio, Texas.”

This is a colorized view of the Southern Pacific Depot in San Antonio. The postcard was probably made much earlier than the 1940 postmark going by the period clothing on the people in this scene.

The postcard was mailed from San Antonio, Texas on November 9, 1940 to Van Couver, B.C. Canada.  It still has the postage stamps attached. This vintage postcard is in very good condition with normal edge wear.

The card was posted and has some wear and tear consistent with its age, but this only adds to its historical charm. The image captures the hustle and bustle of the station with a variety of modes of transportation depicted, including a train, buses, and cars.
