DESCRIPTION:  Here is an early 19th century Derby porcelain coffee cans. Hand decorated with a central orange band with enamelled puce fleur de lis type decoration that scrolls down to a flower head on each side with a leaf to each flower head. Between the puce decoration are gilt lotus leaf type decoration. They have a gilt diamond shaped pattern to the top rim  and a gilt pattern to the bottom rims. The handles are of the uncommon ear shape and are gilded to the backs of the handles. All are marked to the base with red painted crown over crossed batons with six dots over a D. Date to circa 1815.

SIZE:  The coffee can measures 2 3/8 inches high and 2 3/4 inches in diameter. Weighs 92 g before packing. 

CONDITION:   No chips, cracks or restoration and rings well. Has a large scratch as per picture with a small area of scratching to the orange ground.  Small black manufacturing spot to the inside. Also a small area of kiln dust to the base. General ware to the gilt handle but nothing serious. Top rim with all round gilt ware.
