I used this already as a personal item on Sun Country in a window seat. I DID NOT expand it but had 2 laptops and their chargers, a notebook, a book, snacks, some toiletries, and a water bottle (on the inside). It would fit under the seat expanded BUT it does stick out a little (see photo). This is decent quality, I was nervous about handles and straps and the stitching but it didn’t feel flimsy. The only downside is it doesn’t fit my 40oz Owala water bottle on the side pouch. It would probably only fit a smaller, skinny water bottle.

This bag is great for traveling. I recently used this on a trip to Portugal, to carry some clothes as a backup if my checked luggage was lost. Laptop pocket was really nice and padded. Fit my 14 inch laptop with ease. Shoe compartment was nice for a pair of flip flops. Easily could make this my only bag on a weekend trip. Straps are nice and padded, so walking around with this on your back is comfortable.

I traveled through 3 different east Asian countries with this backpack and did not have any issue fitting it underneath the seat in front of me on various airlines. Its zippers are so plentiful, that I even thought I lost my purse in it because of how well concealed one of the pockets is.As for its ability to repel water, I can unfortunately attest. A passenger on one of the airlines ended up vomiting and a little got on this backpack but it was able to come right off.Maybe the one con is that it cannot fit a big water bottle in its side pocket, so do keep that in mind for traveling. I will also mention that there certainly were times when my shoulders hurt when I lugged things around in this, so I will say that if you are looking for a miracle backpack for heavy items then this would probably not be it (even with its cushioning).

This backpack fits SO much. I took it for a trip to FL, I was there for about 3 days and fit a hoodie, laptop, chargers, shoes, everyday clothes, iPad, book, hair tools, brushes, beats, and more. SO many compartments and I like that even if it’s packed to the absolute brim, if you manage to zipper it - you can pull the straps on the side after you buckle it and it shrinks the width of the bag. So good I convinced my dad to buy it for his week long trip! He did have to bring a suitcase to share with his girlfriend but it fit a mind blowing amount. LOVE this backpack. The padding on the back is soft and no matter how much you stuff the bag, it doesn’t kill your neck!

I am thoroughly impressed with this backpack and how much it can store. I bought this for my personal item on the plane (not in the overhead compartment) and wanted to be able to fit as much as humanly possible.Storage: Throughout my trip I’ve accumulated additional items and just when I think I can’t fit anything else, I do. The clasps on the sides make it easy to squish the backpack to a smaller size if need be.Accessibility: I haven’t had a backpack that opens like a full suitcase before and I will never go back - this is extremely convenient when wanting to play Tetris with your items inside. Also, there are endless pockets on this thing. I love how many main zipper slots there are, and within the largest main zipper are tons of little compartments. I particularly like the ones on the front for easy access and the hidden one on the back.The only con for me is the fact that there is not a suitcase slip to carry it on top of your suitcase.Overall a great backpack for travel.

I got this to use as a personal item for my international travels, and I am so happy I did! There are a lot of things about this backpack that make it better for travel than your typical backpack you would use for school. I appreciate the padding on the inner portion that makes the bag more comfortable to wear when walking around an airport or when walking around a town/city. There are quite a few pockets that make organization easy, and the charging port is an added plus. There is a separated pouch that you can use for shoes, but I put my liquids in the pouch to make going through security easy. The bag feels sturdy and can hold a lot, and it fit under the airplane seat just fine. I also really like the sturdy handle on the top; it feels a lot more comfortable and secure to carry than a typical canvas handle on a backpack. And it's pretty, so that's an added bonus.

Overall: Perfect for a 2-3 day solo travel! But,Not really a disadvantage:1. like any other backpack, the 2nd/middle compartment is the biggest, once that is full, there is little space on the rest of the compartments.2. Since the design is close to a perfect square, It looks like carrying a box on your shoulder when it's full. Haha.3. The truth is - You cannot store stuff equivalent to a cabin baggage in a backpack4. Also, if you fill the shoe compartment with shoes, the space is lesser on the largest (2nd) sectionAdvantages:1. I packed/kinda squeezed clothes for 4 days + a deflated air mattress + laptop + chargers + medicines successfully!2. The zips & side buckles are sturdy, front pouches are small and compact for storing passport, charger cables, gum, etc3. Front view looks really elegant!4. The overall utility is great! :)So, JoJo recommended!

I bought the standard sized grey-blue backpack for traveling as my carry-on item. The color is very cute but might get dirty over time since it's a light color. I've been using a North Face backpack for years to travel with before I bought this one. This one is much roomier and has so many pockets and it fits perfectly under an airplane seat with room leftover!. The previous backpack I used was a lot heavier too even without anything in it.There's a laptop sleeve and a compartment for shoes which is a huge plus. FYI if you use the shoe compartment, there will be less room in the backpack. The water bottle holder is tiny as I couldn't fit a slim water bottle in it so I just used it as another pocket.You can even plug in a portable charger to the backpack. I connected a portable charger in the inside of the backpack and was able to connect a USB-A charging cable in the port on the outside of the backpack to charge my phone with easy access without having to take the portable charger out. You cannot use a USB-C cable with this backpack (USB-A ports only)! Make sure the portable charger also has a USB-A input to connect to the backpack.I haven't tested out the water resistance with the material on the backpack yet but I think the material is pretty durable. I was able to fit at least 3 outfits and a toiletry bag + other small items in the various pockets. I highly recommend this backpack for weekend traveling/traveling light! If you need more room, I would get the larger size (pretty sure it can also fit under an airplane seat).

I ordered the Standard and Large sizes to compare. The only difference is the height: 5 cm / 1.5 in difference. It seems like width and depth are the same. I looked up different airlines' "personal size" under seat dimensions and some of them said 17 inches, some maxed at 18 inches. Since the Large size is a hair over 18 inches, I kept the "Standard" size to allow for wiggle room knowing the pack will expand a bit when it's stuffed full. I like that you can buckle the side straps loosely and position the zipper pulls on top so that you can still access the bag. I hate bags where you have to undo the buckle every time you want to open the zipper. This also allows you to unzip a little bit to reach into the bag and not open the entire clamshell. I haven't used it for travel yet but the pockets on the inside compartment where you see the mesh pockets and zipper - the material is very thin and cheap and doesn't feel like it would last long. For this price, you can't complain too much but let's see how we feel if pieces start to break while I'm traveling or going somewhere.

This is a great backpack that passes as a personal item on most airlines including JetBlue & United. Fits under the seat. The suitcase configuration is nice & the wet pocket is a nice addition. Found the backpack comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. However; the shoe pocket can really only be used with sandals or if the main compartment is nearly empty. I love the color (I got peacock blue) and the material feels a bit hydrophobic, so it’s easy to wipe down. I haven’t put it in the washing mashing but a friend confirmed that the USB port was still functional after the backpack was washed. I also appreciated the padding on the back and the “secret” compartment against the back to prevent passport theft.If you travel frequently you might want to go with something higher quality. But this pack is good for the price.This backpack would be a lot better if it included:Higher quality straps. The straps look and feel a bit cheap. The stitching does not appear too sturdy and will definitely begin to separate quickly with consistent use. I used mine once; and it already started fraying. A handle on the side of the bag, allowing for it to be carried briefcase style and a larger (or maybe two?) water bottle sleeves would be great.A loop or two for hanging keychains on the outside of the back. Doesn’t seem important until you need a place to hang a hat or a neck pillow.Most importantly this backpack needs a better configuration for the laptop pouch & the two slim front most pockets.The laptop compartment doesn’t have a sleeve or strap, it’s just one slim pocket. That isn’t a big deal, but it would be nice if the laptop pocket could be opened suitcase style for TSA/customs purposes. If the laptop pocket had a clear sleeve / Velcro strap like most backpacks & if the pocket could be opened full length, you would not need to remove the electronics from the backpack.Finally, the most inconvenient feature on this backpack is the complete lack of quick access pockets. There is literally not a single pocket you can easily drop your phone or wallet into. If the front of the backpack had a full access arched zipper pocket, even if it was super thing it would be SO helpful. A few mesh organization pockets (like in the main compartment) and an attached key ring inside the front most pouch would go a long way.So overall, get this backpack for casual travel as a budget option. But the lack of accessibility definitely makes it incompatible with daily use. With a better front pocket and just a few minor and easy adjustments, this bag would be a 10/10.
