TRIUMPH ROCKET III STARTER MOTOR SOLENOID REPAIR KIT

.The Nippon Denso starter motor fitted to the TRIUMPH can be prone to failure and is very expensive to replace. The starter is very reliable apart from the copper contacts in the solenoid which wear away. 

Fortunately it only take 10 mins to replace the contacts once the starter is removed.

The usual symptoms with a contact failure is a clicking sound and intermittent starting. You may try 3 or 4 times and get a click click and on the next try the starter works as usual.
