The JBL ProFlora CO2 Advanced Set V is the ideal solution to create a living, thriving planted aquascape. The ProFlora Advanced Set V System comes supplied ready for connection all excluding the CO2 cylinder, which is not included. The pressure reducer included fits both the JBL refillable cylinders (M system, thread type W21.8x1/14") and the JBL disposable cylinders (U system, thread type M10x1). How it works:The JBL Advanced Set V System diffuses CO2 into the aquarium water providing plants with vital carbon dioxide which is the primary nutrient required for photosynthesis. Strong, healthy plant growth has many advantages including providing vital oxygen for aquarium inhabitants, reducing algae growth, removing pollutants, providing hiding places for fish and also reducing pathogens. Easy to install:The JBL ProFlora Advanced Set V CO2 System comes ready for connection except for the CO2 Cylinder. Simply screw the pressure regulator with its mounted solenoid valve onto a suitable CO2 Cylinder, then connect the pressure regulator with the CO2 hose to the bubble counter/check valve and diffuser. Next plug the solenoid valve into a timer (not included), set the bubble count and you're done. The CO2 will then enter the aquarium and is dissolved in the water as it is released via the diffuser. The CO2 supply can be interrupted at night by using the solenoid valve included if required. The CO2 concentration within the aquarium water is checked via the CO2/pH permanent test included with the set and can be readjusted if required via the pressure reducer. Usage:The capacity of a CO2 system depends on various factors. The carbonate hardness, the quantity and species of the plants and strength of the water surface movement are decisive factors, as well as the aquarium capacity.
