ColorTone Lacquer Retarder is a special blend of water and solvents that slow down lacquer drying times and combat the undesirable effect of “blushing” (a cloudy or foggy look in the finish caused by excessive moisture or humidity). Add just a small amount to ColorTone Nitro Guitar Lacquer (sold separately) to improve leveling for an even lacquer flow-out. This helps the new finish to bond with the old, eliminating witness lines.
