Grundig Radio T5 LED Bulb Replacement
These are LED replacements for the T5 / W2 x 4.6 type bulbs used in Grundig Satellit Radios etc.
They include a tiny bridge rectifier so that they can be inserted any way around.
They are available in the following colours :- GREEN, RED, BLUE WHITE, YELLOW and ORANGE.
They can be supplied without an LED so you can fit whatever 0603 LED and load resistor you desire.

Single LED - 1K8 resistor - Replaces 7V 30mA T5 bulb
Single LED - 680R resistor
Dual LED - 680R resistor - Replaces 7V 80mA T5 Bulb

Typical voltage drop across the mini-rectifier is 0.5V at 10mA.
Photos show a normal T5 bulb in comparison to the LED replacement PCB.
LED replacement board is the only item for sale.
Photos illustrate three bulbs in a GRUNDIG SATELLIT 1400. Main dial - Dual 680R, Frequency meter - Single 1K8, Signal strength meter - Single 1K8. GRUNDIG SATELLIT 1400 is not for sale.
Original T5 bulb has dimensions of 2mm x 4.6mm.
LED replacement has dimensions of 1.6mm x 5mm for PCB. The 5mm PCB width is filed down slightly at the contact end but may need more filing to fit a particular holder. Contacts in the bulb holder may need prising apart slightly to grip the slightly thinner LED replacement PCB.
For single PCB, face the LED towards where the light is intended to be projected to.
For blank PCB's with the rectifier the LED can be placed in any position, the mark on the PCB indicates the LED diode direction. To match the original bulbs it is recommended to place the LED in the top position.
