Ingersoll Rands new Ultra Duty Composite family of ratchets offer the IR exclusive TwinPawl (TM) head design with a spring and damper system that ensures full pawl engagement. The new slip resistant friction disc also aids in stronger, longer life and no head slippage. This system allows high speed durabilty and eliminates skipping and lock-up. A uniform thickness and new heat treatment of the head adds greater durability and eliminates "spreading". The two finger variable throttle gives the ultimate versatility and control every mechanic is looking for. A high performance 4 vane offset air motor increases torque and efficiency. The double injection molded handle decreases vibration and adds comfort while the lightweight composite handle with molded palm swell adds superior grip and comfort. The 360 degree directional side exhaust lets the operator direct air away from the work area. The 1210 model comes standard with a 1/2" anvil.

I am an electric forklift mechanic who was in need of a faster method of running fine threaded nuts up and down chain anchors. I was impressed with the control of the drive especially on the slow end. The adjustable control for air flow works nicely for slowing maximum speed. To change drive direction it has a collar at the top of the handle instead of a switch behind the head. Let me tell you that is a sweet feature when the head is buried up in a machine and you need to change direction. Man I wish they had thought of that sooner. Anyway, this tool was worth every penny I paid for it. I love it!
