Original engraving with large margins that represents a double view of Caius Cestio pyramid and two insets with decorative figures. The engraving comes from Deseine's "La Rome Moderne et Ancienne", published in Dutch by Halma in Amsterdam in 1704. Deseine was a bookseller, typographer and draughtsman who spent a large part of his life in Rome where he made an important series of drawings and engravings of ancient and modern monuments of Rome of great technical quality, being considered the best representations of Rome until the work of Piranesi. The engraving shows an ancient fold in the central part of the image.
