  • No sanding necessary when topping up coating
Osmo Decking Oils are designed to protect, maintain and beautify garden decking, furniture, wooden gates etc. Each one is especially made to match a variety of exotic hardwoods (including Teak, Bangkirai, Massarandua, Garapa, Koto, Iroko) as well as Oak and pressure treated wood such as Pine, Douglas Fir, Larch and Cedar as well as a Black and Grey.

Application:
When applying Osmo Decking Oils the wood surfaces must be clean, dry (max moisture content 20%) and frost free. Old paints and varnishes must be removed first, old micro-porous treatments need only be cleaned or lightly sanded. If additional protection against blue stain, rot and mildew is required pre-treat with Osmo WR Base coat 4001, particularly on rough sawn wood this will also improve the coverage of the decking oil. Osmo Teak-Oil is a clear finish and therefore offers only little protection against UV rays (greying). As a clear top coat for screens (vertical surfaces only), we recommend Osmo UV-Protection-Oil / UV-Protection-Oil Extra and for deckings the clear Anti-Slip Decking Oil. This offers higher pigment protection which increases the durability of the finish against wear and weather. We recommend checking the finish at least once a year and to eventually re-coat the surface with the
suitable finish.

Store in a cool, dry, dark place. Keep out of reach of children. In case of eye contact copiously wash eyes immediately with water and seek medical advice. After skin contact wash immediately with soap and water. Wear suitable protective clothing and gloves. Approx. 24m²/L of coverage with one coat

Please note - the colour swatches on display are a guide only. The actual colour will depend on what wood you are staining, how many coats you apply and how well it has been sanded and prepped.  Always follow the manufacturers guidance and always test in a small inconspicuous area before use.
