This sensational magic effect was first introduced to me in my early twenties and has been a staple in my close-up routine and when guests visit.  Everything is 100% examinable before and after.

Five brass colored discs are shown. Your helper is asked to flip the discs over and mix them up hiding the different colors.  Then your helper selects a disc and is asked to place all discs in the brass container.  The container is sealed and a string is run through the center. Magically you are able to make the selected disc escape from the string of discs and drop out of the brass container!
