History of Yarara Knives: "YARARÁ" was born in 1990 (founded by Mr. Carlos Juarez and continued today by his sons) with the creation of its first and legendary model "El Comando" (= The Commando), so called because its first destination was the CiaCdo(s) 601 Ejercito Argentino (= Argentine Army 601 Commando Coy), responding to the operational needs required in a timely manner.

New in the box, with guarantee card and instructions manual (in spanish, ask for a translation).
This model was developed for the SSFF "Grupo Albatros" (Albatross Group) of the "Prefectura Naval Argentina" (PNA) (Argentine Naval Prefecture, ANP).

The name "Exulans" comes from "Diomedea exulans", the scientific name of the variety of seabird known as the "wandering albatross", from which the SSFF of the Argentine Coast Guard takes its name.

Full tang knife with tanto blade, with drop point false edge, and a Spyderco type serration near the ricazzo for safety belt, or ropes or complementary use. It has notch in the spine suitable for hooking and forcing all kinds of elements if necessary.

Integral handguard with thumb rest with serrations on the spine to secure the thumb's grip, and two holes for survival use.
On the back it has a large round and angled robust glass breaker type pommel with lanyard hole, and an index rest with serrations to secure the index's grip.
It is laser engraved on the right ricazzo: YARARA brand name and logo INDUSTRIA ARGENTINA (Made in Argentina)

The ergonomic scales are made of black Santoprene of USA origin, a polymer highly resistant to chemical agents, ultraviolet rays, etc., with non-slip texture fixed with three torch screws to the tang.

The sheath is made of black Kydex, both sides secured with six steel rivets. A large black cordura belt loop at back with belt mount or back mount for molle type vest, also allows to pass a leg tie rope at the tip, it can be opened at back due to a Velcro closure (you can pass the belt or open the loop), and has two hilt straps secured to the loop with steel rivets that close with Velcro and has an easy-to-grasp black plastic tip.
Steel: SAE 6150 (german chrome-vanadium alloyed carbon steel). Hardness 56/58 Rc Blade finish: Micro textured matte black coating finish.
