Made in last century at Lomonosov porcelain factory. 

 Founded in 1744 by Peter the Great’s daughter, Empress Elizabeth,  
Lomonosov Porcelain is one of the oldest porcelain manufacturers in Europe.  
And every figurine is hand-made and hand-painted.  
It is this special attention to detail of Lomonosov artists 
which infuses each figurine with life, soul and individuality. 
 DANKO (Danko-Alexeenko) Natalia Yakovlevna (1892-1942), 
sculptor-ceramist. Living in St. Petersburg from 1908,  
 she studied in workshops of M.L. Dillon and L.V. Shervud. 
From 1909 she worked in the workshop of sculptor V.V.  Kuznetsov. 
Natalia Danko was the designer of many porcelain objects with dramatic 
themes at the time of the Russian  revolution and Civil War - 
including things as different as decorative plates and propaganda chess sets. 
She headed  Lomonosov's sculpture department successfully from 1919 to 1941. 
She died at the age of fifty during the German  siege of Leningrad in World War II. 
The Lomonosov porcelain factory was founded in 1744 in Saint Petersburg,  Russia. 
The products were exclusively made for the Russian ruling family of Romanov, 
and the Imperial Court.  Production for sale only started about a hundred years later. 
Factory came to be known as the Imperial Porcelain  Factory, or IFZ, LFZ.
