Artist William Glen Davis worked in the Pittsburgh area. His sculptures and paintings were closely related in subject and style; which some would call Brutalist based on materials, and mid-century modern based on the his geometric abstractions. Everyday he would do a sketch for inspiration, which would often be transformed into a sculpture. These sketches are dated and utilize various drawing materials including marker and ink. Each one has  the date in his hand.
