1854 & 1855 M'Elroy's Philadelphia Directories turned Scrapbook

Measures: 6" x 9.25" x 2"

Spine has a handwritten label stating: "Historic and miscellaneous....1886 1887 1888"

It appears that almost one side of every page has been used as a newspaper scrapbook including articles from American and Gazette, Evening Bulletin, Ledger and Transcript, etc.

Back of the book has some incredible advertising.

At least a couple pages have been cut and are missing.

It appears that almost one side of every page has been used as a newspaper scrapbook including articles from The Press, Ledge and Transcript, New York Commercial Advertiser, etc.

A large section of the business directory in the back in un-touched and does not have articles glued on it.

The back of this book has an incredible advertising section.

At least a couple pages have been cut and are missing.

Included inside the book are a few loose clippings that have not been glued down.

Both books have some wear to the edges and spines. Since so many of the pages have been glued, the pages have some degee of waveness.

Very old books with an incredible amount of history and information!
