Circa 1735 Homann Heirs antique map, "Neu-vermehrte Post-Charte durch gantz Teutschland"

Description:

This 18th Century map depicts the postal routes of Germany.  Featured on this beautifully engraved original antique map - a wonderful title cartouche with twin headed eagle and cherubs (one riding atop a winged horse), all the large cities like Leipzig and Berlin, forests, streams, many small villages - as manifest and evidenced by the tremendous details and presence!

Condition:

Overall, very good. Only very minor condition issues worth mentioning: wear commensurate with age, some staining & a couple small repaired margin tears - exactly as pictured!  Also worth mentioning, the bottom border and margin are present but missing from the picture due to my scanner's size limitation (25" x 18.5" max).  I have taken a couple pictures of the map in it's entirety with my camera to show the margin + border (last two pics).

Dimensions of map (including margins):

~23.6" Wide
~20" Tall

Shipping: USPS priority and fully insured. I am always willing to combine shipping for multiple lots won.

Included: Every map sold comes with a Crystal Clear archival bag - Acid free
