DESCRIPTION: Here is an Art Deco Czechoslovakian Royal Dux figure group of an eastern dancer with a boy attendant bring a gift from a prominent person in a green and gilt casket. The dancer has hand painted facial features, brown painted hair with a bun on each side. She is wearing a gilt bangle on her right wrist, a double gilt bangle to her upper left arm and wearing gilt earrings with red jewel centers. She wearing split trousers and has red and gilt turned up shoes. Her belt is in gilt with red and blue jewelling. The boy attendant has a red topped turban having a yellow, mauve and gilt sash with a central green jewel set in a gilt frame. He has a blue tunic with pale pink sleeves and matching trousers. The tunic has an orange and gilt band around the sleeve ends, a band across the middle and to the hem. He is wearing red and white turned up shoes. The figure group stands on a cantered circular base with a gilt arched band around the base. The top of the base has a gilt star pattern with 16 red painted dots to the outer edge.

marked to the base with a green printed Made in Czechoslovakia in a round, a green printed triangular bell shape within a circle. Impressed numbers 139 32 over 16 and has a small piece of the original label.

SIZE: The figure group measures 14 1/4 inches high and 5 1/2 inches across the base. Weighs 955 g before packing.

CONDITION: The female dancer has a thumb missing from her hand on her out stretched arm (picture 11). To the same hand is a small chip to the end of her fingers with 3 small chips around it (picture 12). I feel that this a result of a tips of the fingers being blown in the kiln.There is a small chip to the base as in picture 10 with some very minor chipping around the bottom of the base. There is a small paint flake to her left hand bun of her hair. A little gilt ware to the arched gilt band on the base.
