AVID/SRAM + HAYES & Formula - MTB & Road Bicycle Disc Brake Bleed Kit

Compatible with Avid/SRAM + Formula & Hayes MTB & Road Bicycle Braking Systems that Utilise DOT Fluids.  Includes standard adaptors as well as the bleeding edge tool required for many SRAM brake sets.

Note: Not compatible with Mineral Oil systems such as Formula Cura & SRAM DB8, Motive, Maven etc.  (We have separate kits available for these brakes in our store)

Kit contents:

• 2 X 30ml syringes
• 1 x Bleeding Edge Adaptor (suits 2017+ Avid/SRAM Braking systems with the S4 Caliper)
• 2 X Metal adapters (caliper and lever) 
• 2 x Clear plastic hoses with clamps and threaded barbs to ensure an airtight assembly
• 1 x Universal bleed block incorporating rotor trueing tool (a specific 4 piston bleed block is also available free of charge - leave us a note in the comments if this is required)
• 1 or 2 x 100ml Bottles of high-performance DOT 5.1 fluid (enough for 2-3 bleeds) – optional
• 1 x Pair of nitrile (latex free), gloves
• 1 X T10 Torx Tool
• Shop Towel for clean ups (if buying brake fluid)

Dot 5.1 fluid is compatible with all systems that use Dot fluid including Dot 3 and Dot 4. Dot 5.1 has a higher boiling point preventing loss of power on those long downhill runs, better low temperature performance and reduced service intervals.

100ml of fluid provides enough for 2-3 standard bleeds of the front and rear brakes. If you haven’t replaced your fluid for 2 years we recommend completing a complete flush for optimal performance. A complete flush of the front and rear brakes will use around 100ml of fluid.
