The Soho Foundry, Ballarat Australia (a Victorian gold rush town), was established in 1775 primarily for metal casting. These are two vintage, lidded brass boxes (believed to be later tourist souvenirs) from the Soho Foundry in Sovereign Hill, Ballarat Australia. They can be used to store little things such as jewelry, stamps, coins, pills, etc. Both are marked on the lids, and bottom interiors. Flat lidded box 7” in circumference; 0.75” high. Domed box 7” in circumference; 2” high. Both in very good condition. Shipped first class package
