On June 20, 1960 World Heavyweight Champion Ingemar Johansson defended his title against the man he took it from the year before, Floyd Patterson.  The fight was at the Polo Grounds in New York.  Patterson avenged his loss by stopping Johansson in the 5^th round.  Patterson became the first fighter to regain the heavyweight title after losing it.
