--The M4 Self-propelled Mortar (M4 MMC: Mortar Motor Carriage) is a vehicle based on the body of the M2 half-track, and about 500 vehicles were produced in the early stages of the war.
--The rear crew room of the M2 half-track was equipped with 81mm mortars and mortar ammunition, and each ammunition storage box was equipped with a total of 96 mortar ammunition.
――The 81mm mortar that was installed was supposed to be fired after being lowered to the ground normally, but in an emergency it was also possible to shoot from the top of the car to the rear.
