I Got this "OMC  Johnson Evinrude 305563 (308334) Lower Unit 5" Extension" from a Maine Estate I Bought.

The Gentleman was a Marine Mechanic for decades.

This is from his extensive new & used inventory.

He had this inventoried as: “305563 Gear Case 5” Extension Housing”.

I believe this will or may fit 1968-1970 40hp Johnson & Evinrude Outboards.

I'm not sure what years or models this may fit.

Please look at pictures and numbers to assure this will fit your engine.

It Is a little Dusty & Oily from being in storage.
