This external S-meter will perfectly complement your IC-9700 radio. The indicator size of this device is the same size as the IC-9700 display - 4.3 inches. This is a large mechanical S-meter with smooth movement of the arrow - everything you like about analog devices.The height of this S-meter is exactly the same as the IC-9700. It looks great together. It has a good metal box with excellent shielding - no problem with the QRO.
This is a true device - we customize and test against the S-meter by IARU table. It will be more accurate than the built-in S-meter IC-9700. In TX mode it works as a power meter.
Easy to use - just connect this item to your IC-9700 via REMOTE jack, apply power and it's ready to go.
