Don’t worry; each cookie is in mint condition. No, I don't mean that these are mint-flavored Oreos. I mean that for a cookie, they’re in excellent shape. That means there are no cracks or broken pieces. Of course, they’re Oreos, and they’re originally meant to be eaten, not to be used as keepsakes, so there’s no such thing as a perfect cookie here, but I did my best to pick out the cookies that are at least close to perfection, and reject the ones that have obvious flaws. I tried to pick cookies in which the details of the images, letters, and even the details on the back of the Oreos weren’t too eroded, and the frosting wasn’t too lopsided or too narrow, thin, or covered in cookie bits. I also made sure that the two cookie parts are aligned. You can be proud of your Pokemon Oreos, and have confidence in letting them be displayed for others to see.

And you shouldn’t have to worry about them not staying that way. I wanted these Pokemon cookies to be more than just cookies. They are special, and so I wanted to make them last forever. Thus, I put in the extra work to turn them into keepsakes. I took extra care in preserving and protecting these cookies as much as possible. When I say “preservation”, I don’t mean extending the cookie’s freshness or expiration date for eating, but I am talking about preserving its integrity so that the cookie never goes bad in terms of how it looks, smells, feels, etc. In other words, these Pokemon Oreo cookies should never deteriorate, meaning that they should never rot, crumble, get moldy, attract bugs, etc. So how are these cookies preserved and protected?

First I treated each cookie to a preservation solution. This is a clear coating around the whole cookie that seals it, making it impossible for air to contaminate the cookie, protecting its structure. This coating is crystal clear so it will not obstruct the view of the cookie at all, and furthermore, it should not yellow. This coating is important because without it, even when leaving cookies inside a plastic bag, they will eventually deteriorate.

Second, as an additional layer of protection, I carefully shrink wrapped each cookie. This shrink wrapping alone would keep the cookie from deterioration for a long time, but acts as a bonus to the preservation coating. This extra layer of protection further keeps out any air, but also protects the cookie from any outside elements such as dirt from human fingers. It also actually helps to hold the cookies parts together; the cookies pieces can sometimes detach from the cream. The shrink wrap even adds a little bit of padding to help when it’s being handled or, unfortunately, dropped. This shrink wrap is trimmed and tightened around the cookie to keep it looking nice, and so you won’t see any cookie with ugly plastic getting in the way.

Third, each shrink wrapped and coated cookie is placed in its own special display case, adding yet another layer of protection. This case not only helps to preserve the cookie even more, but it provides even more protection from human fingers and getting dropped.

There is even an optional clear display cabinet included with your purchase in which the cookies inside their display cases can be placed in, providing even more protection.

Going back to the individual display cases for each cookie, what’s really cool about them is that they have two purposes. Not only do they provide additional protection to each cookie, but with their elegant design, they also give the cookies a polished look, making them nice to see by all when on display. Each display case has a backing with a color that reflects the Pokemon of the cookie inside it, adding an extra touch of uniqueness for each Pokemon cookie, and an extra touch of beauty for the whole set.

But these display cases aren’t the only thing about this set that will make your Oreo Pokemon cookies look amazing. Included in your purchase are beautiful individual stands that can perfectly hold and display each Pokemon cookie inside their display cases with style. This preservation process does not preserve the cookie’s edibility, but instead preserves its structure, protecting it from deterioration, and it is in fact this preservation process that renders them inedible. Eating the cookies can be harmful to your health. If you want to eat Pokemon Oreo cookies, do not buy this product. Again, these are special Oreos that are meant to be used as keepsakes, not food.

Please take care of your Oreo Pokemon cookie set. This product is designed to protect the cookies, but you must still handle with care. Do not hold the cookie display cases by the clear plastic pieces. Always hold by the black edges. Do not squeeze the front clear display part of the case since this can break your cookie. I recommend that you keep the cookies in their display cases. If you take them out, and put them back in, place the cookie in the center, and put the lid back on gently. Note that the preservation treatment of the cookie only protects it from deterioration, not from someone accidentally breaking it. I recommend that you also keep the cookies in their shrink wrap since this is significant layer of protection, and cannot be easily undone. It is also recommended to not let small children handle the cases or cookies. This is both to protect the cookies, and also to ensure that they do not attempt to eat them. If there are young children around that might be tempted to pick them up, then it might be best to put them somewhere high enough where they can’t reach, or at least inside the display cabinet with the door closed to discourage picking them up.

Mondelez International, the company that owns Nabisco and Oreos, is no longer making these limited edition Pokemon cookies. This means that Mew is not the only rare cookie from this limited edition set, and thus, collecting every character in the set can be difficult, but even more so with the very rare Mew. And as these cookies, except for the ones preserved like the ones in this set, get older and expire, crumble, etc, these cookies will only continue to get rarer and thus more valuable. With that said, as of now, there are only four of these Oreo Pokemon cookie sets in the world, and their value too will increase over time.

But while others are trying to sell these limited edition Pokemon Oreos, many are broken and crumbly. Very few sellers make any decent attempt to preserve the cookie, meaning that if you buy them, they might not even last long. And even for those that do try to preserve them, they’re usually in just a simple bag or bulky vacuum seal bags that are not appropriate for display nor for collection. My Pokemon Oreos that I’m selling are sealed with a preservation coating, wrapped in plastic that conforms to the cookie shape, and encased in a stylish container, all while being displayed on optional beautiful stands that are perfect for showing off your collectible Pokemon cookies.
