ITEM DESCRIPTION: A rare antique hand-colored print of "The Royal Institution Castle and Prince's Street", Edinburgh by Samuel Swarbreck.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The print is custom framed with original velvet matting by Paul B. Victorius. An attached certificate of authenticity on the back of the frame states that the print is from around 1842 and original. A wonderful opportunity to acquire a rare original print and a great edition to your collection.
Samuel Swarbreck was a London based painter who helped to create the Victorian conception of Scotland as a country of stags with his series of Scottish lithographs.
CONDITION: The print is in very good condition, the back of the frame is rough, re-framing is recommended.
AGE: 1842.
MEASUREMENTS: The frame measures 22 3/4" x 26 3/4". The viewable print area is 12" x 17".
