For sale this Silvano boombox, built by Kyoei Electronics in Japan somewhere 1977-1978.

The device is working on 220 V AC ( power cable included ) and 12V on batteries ( not included, 8 x 1,5 V)
Weight is around 4.5 Kg.
I chose this as a restoration project due to the intricate model for the cover of the speakers and the massive front  aluminium plates, although stopped at a certain point. I hope some passionate collector will continue this restoration project.

Some steps done are including:
- carefully cleaned inside and outside
- all electrolytic capacitors replaced with quality ones
- radio working, sound is loud and clear, very good sensitivity on FM when metallic antenna is extended
- audio finals replaced with original Matsushita, paired for accurate sound
- both VU-meters and counter working
- all cassette belts replaced
- LED for STEREO working
- battery compartment is clean and complete
- good condition for antenna and handle
- the item is complete, no parts are missing

Nevertheless, some aesthetic and mechanical points remained open, like:
- lights for VU-meters not working
- the case have some wear and scratches, on plastic and aluminium surfaces. they are visible in the pictures, also a small piece from the transparent plexiglas is missing, bottom of the radio scale
- REW work correctly, still PLAY and FF are not, due to a weared circular rubber which is skating on other roller
- although EJECT is opening the cassette door, the small plastic mechanism that allow the door to open slowly is not mounted, instead is attached in a small plastic envelope inside the case

This is an 45 years old electronic device and is sold as is. 
I will not accept returns for this item, so do not purchase it if you do not agree to buying it in as is condition for parts or repair only.
