Famous Israeli artist.  His first name is sometimes spelled: Eliyahu.

Beautiful, dream like painting showing a couple below an arch on a small street or alleyway.  Above them a lady is emerging from a doorway.

Signed and dated: 1954.

A special added feature is the original gallery label, giving the name of Safrai Gallery, in Jerusalem, where this painting was originally sold.
