This is a set of four control cables for the heater and AC controls for the 1967-71 Ambassador with air conditioning.
Included in the set are:
TEMP cable
DEF cable
AIR cable
AC cable
The TEMP cable uses a higher temperature plastic housing to better withstand engine bay heat, while the other cables use a slightly more flexible cable housing to make them easier to route and curve around under the dash. The AIR cable includes the special slotted end required for proper operation, reproduced in ABS plastic. The DEF cable uses a white colored housing as the originals did.
The center wire is made from 302 stainless steel spring wire, slightly larger diameter than the originals for higher strength and less chance of buckling. The cable housings are wire wound with vinyl external sheath and Teflon internal liner for smooth action. All cables are marked at the control panel end with a label so you can easily tell which goes where on the control panel.
The cable housings are held firmly in place by the stock retaining clips, with the two teeth on the inside of the clip biting into the soft outer housing material to ensure no movement.
