Historians believe the whistles were used in sacrificial rituals of death, as a number of whistles were found with sacrificed victims to the Aztec wind God Ehecatl. 

Other theories propose that the whistles were used in war to strike fear in the hearts of their enemies.

Simply cup your hands around the base along with changing your angle it makes different pitch screams. The harder you blow, the louder it gets! . Be careful not to blow these in an enclosed room! EXTREMELY LOUD!
