X226 Harley Davidson 1986-1993 IGNITION KEY BLANK

Replacement for key blanks with the a part number of X226, HYD12, or HY10R.

Fits Ignition of:

SPORTSTER 1986-1994

SOFTTAIL (FLST, FLS, FXST) Late 1984-1995

Plus some other Harley Davidsons from 1984 through 1995. 

There is actually some conflicting information out there, some sites list this blank will fit from 1984 through 1995, but some after 1993 may have difficulties with this key being too thick to fit into their keyway. Definitely Sportster, and some of the larger big twins.  Obviously, if your bike has a tubular style key, this blank is not for you.  

Take a look at pic #3 and use it as a guide to help you to your decision, but realize it has been cobbled together from multiple sources and is not the definitive word on HD keys.  It is a best approximation on my part.

The safest way is to match up part numbers.  Or if you have your key code available, this blank fits Harley key codes 001-210.  Your key code is on a little metal tag that came with the OEM keys.  According to some, it may also be under the black plastic on the key.   

Finally, If all this strikes you as needlessly confusing bullshit, then just take a pic of your working key front and back and message it to me and I will help you figure it out!
