Lovely item from the 19th century Made from a bronze  alloy. Some wear but still in great condition with deep relief. Very pleasing to behold. Measures 3 3/4 inches when open x 2 2/3 inches high. 9.5 cm x 6.75cm  and with very fine definition. I believe it depicts the baptism of Christ by St. John Baptist.
