Antique Masonic compass
motif FOB or pendant with an oval Kukui nut framed in solid 14k gold with 14k
gold symbols ( acid tested),likely made in the late Victorian era
(c.1900-1910).Measure app. 37mm with the bale, 27mm wide, total weight over 10
gram…The nut has some cracks.
The letter "G"
stands for Geometry, to remind Masons that Geometry and Freemasonry are
synonymous terms described
as being the "noblest of sciences", and "the basis upon which
the superstructure of Freemasonry and everything in existence in the entire
universe is erected."The square represents morality as every Freemason
must square their actions with what is expected of them. While, the compass
represents the measurement of the ability to undertake actions within certain
constraints. The 3 rings represent "Odd Fellows", thanks Nooni
