Mites, like ticks, are eight-legged bloodsucking organisms. They carry and transmit diseases from one reptile to another. Mites are tiny and metamorphose through several stages, some of which are non-feeding morphs. Depending on the species of mite, they may be black, bright red/orange, or the color of old, dried blood. Ticks are commonly found on wild-caught reptiles or captive bred reptiles who have been thrown in with wild-caught reptiles or kept separate but not properly quarantined. ClearOFF DEMite is a safe and non toxic natural mineral powder that kills several stages of the mites life cycle as well as ticks and other parasites. It can easily be brushed directly onto dry (not wet) reptiles and also dusted around your vivarium. Remove reptiles from vivarium before treatment. Create clouds of dust within the vivarium using a puffer type bottle or old washing up liquid bottle. Ensure the powder covers all areas and pay particular attention to any little nooks and crannies. Reptiles can be placed back into the vivarium as soon as the dust has settled. Once eliminated continue to use ClearOFF DEMite to shield against re-infestation.

Usage: Apply a small amount of powder to your pets dry skin and dust off. Re-apply if washed away. Treat 2-3 times per week for a minimum of 4 weeks. Also add to your pets enviroment such as in sawdust, grit, sand, soil and bedding etc. This will prevent mites and other parasites from establishing a colony.
