This is a unique set of 5 primitive country farm milk or water pitchers, hand-thrown long ago by the (famous by now) Martres potters in deep South Western France...

Numbered under base, one is cracked but still solid, another is missing a part of its glaze, some wear and chips commensurate with age and use (could date mid-late 19th century...)
