The 2/4A Above Ground Closure is widely used on buildings where communication wires and drop wires have to be joined externally.

Gel Crimps themselves offer a degree of protection against the elements but still need to be contained and this enclosure is ideal.

This is a hinged one-piece wraparound closure. It can be installed and reopened by hand without the need for any additional tooling. It is designed to accommodate an inline joint of up to four pairs of 0.5mm conductors using the CWI8A or 11A connectors, or one pair of 2A drop wire connectors. It accommodates one cable at the incoming end and up to two cables at the outgoing end of the closure. This cable will be primarily drop wire 10/11/12/15, CAD55 and cable down lead. After the joint is made, the cables are simply pushed into the cable retaining flappers and then the closure is snapped firmly shut, giving excellent environmental protection.
