Myrrh is a
natural resin extracted from a number of small, thorny trees of the
species Commiphora Myrrha. Used throughout history as perfume, incense,
and medicine, this premium resin transforms after harvest into a hard,
glossy gum with a distinctly bitter taste and aromatic smell. The gum is
beautifully yellowish-brown and may range from completely clear to
beautifully opaque. This particular exceptional variety comes directly
from Oman.
