P&O TRINKET BOX

A 1950's complementary trinket box produced for P&O cruises; given to first class passengers, complements of the Managing Director and Chairman of the 'Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company'.

The hinged lid reveals the original purple velvet lining. The lid has the arms of P&O including the motto: Quis Nos Separabit.

Date: 1950's

Condition: Fair original condition. The hinge works well, the lid clips shuts nicely. The lining is original. The exterior has some discolouration to the gilt finish, mostly on the lid. The back left foot has a little felt pad to keep the box sitting correctly.
