Here's a very pretty Covered Butter Dish.  The pattern is one of the state patterns and the name is New Jersey aka Loops & Drapes.  Made by U.S. Glass ca. 1900.  At well over 100 years of age it's a true antique.  It measures 6" tall by 8" in diameter. The gilding is excellent.  It is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks, and no stains or mineral deposits.   Any white or dark spots shown in the photo are from camera glare.
