FYI:

WBs is the mark of Scottish silversmiths Ward Brothers (1890-1956) The Ward Brothers produced sterling silver jewelry from the late nineteenth century until the mid twentieth century. Originally based in Edinburgh and Glasgow, they moved to Birmingham to increase production.  They were known for their Scottish theme pieces and travel charms.

TLM is renowned British silversmith Thomas L Mott (1900-1970) Thomas Lyster Mott is best known for his butterfly-wing jewelry in the Art Deco era, but is now equally cherished for travel and zodiac charms with exceptionally beautiful enamel work.

From a wonderful Island Hopping vacation(s)!  Make it your souvenir, or maybe your Travel Bucket Wish List bracelet!

Appx 20-24 rams plus/minus on our OLD postage scale, not a jeweler scale, Just to give you an idea.

Some or None of the charms are soldered, so buyer's option to take to a jeweler

--Just a wonderful bracelet, from the estate of a dear Aunt we inherited, part of a huge inventory of charms and bracelets she sold in her gift shop 1940s-1980s -- She made theme bracelets to sell, as well as put together bracelets for customers; we are aiming to sell them as found!

We should sell it for much higher... or could break up this bracelet and sell each charm for $10-$25+ each --  ---- and the solo bracelet at $25-$40 -- still less than what you can find out there today! Look them up!!! Single travel shields and map charms are going for that and more!!!  --- But hoping the right person will appreciate it and we can leave it as Aunt made it

—This is one of many older charm bracelets we are offering… USE PHOTOS & ask questions!  Check out our other listings, plus individual charms as well as themed charm bracelets

Note: For all the charm bracelets we are listing:

Expect typical evidence of age, handling, storage, perhaps a dight of tarnish or dust in the nooks and crannies, Patina left as found for new owner

———Various hallmarks: some charms are clearly marked, some misstamped, some not stamped at all. Most are sterling and scarce European Silver. ———Some hallmarked / signed either on the backs, bottoms, or jump rings (Danecraft, Foster, Griffith, Foster, graphic logos, .925, Ster, Sterling) ---some not -- which was okay back then: certain pieces under a certain weight did not require a stamp, Often jeweler display cards noted the silver information, which were mostly tossed out.

———Those without marks are tested for sterling—  or otherwise silverplate or other silver metal or alloy.

—————Clearly silver typical of the age and period! Some are really shiny so likely are anti-tarnish rhodium plated (which is in the platinum family and the nickel underplating on the silver attracts magnets)

————Some 3-dimensional, some 2-D with bas relief effect, almost all are highly detailed and substantial weight, excellent quality!  Any with gemstones: No clue if real or faux or synthetic!   ————  Expect typical evidence of wear, use, handling, age, storage…

We love this one!  We've seen a lot of travel charms bracelets, but never one exactly like this!!  Plenty of room left for your own charms!

FROM THE WEB: The Channel Islands are an archipelago in the English Channel, off the French coast of Normandy. They include two Crown dependencies: the Bailiwick of JERSEY, which is the largest of the islands; and the Bailiwick of GUERNSEY, consisting of GUERNSEY, ALDERNEY, SARK, HERM, and some smaller uninhabited islands. They are considered the remnants of the Duchy of Normandy and, although they are not part of the United Kingdom, the UK is responsible for the defense of and international relations of the islands.

The Isle of Man, also known as Mann, is a self-governing British Crown dependency situated in the Irish Sea between Great Britain and Ireland. The head of state, was Queen Elizabeth II, now King Charles, holds the title of Lord of Mann and is represented by a lieutenant governor. The United Kingdom has responsibility for the island's defense.

Anglesey is an island off the north-west coast of Wales. It forms the principal area (as Isle of Anglesey) and historic county of that name, which includes Holy Island to the west and some islets and skerries. Anglesey island, at 260 square miles (673 km2), is by far the largest island in Wales, seventh largest in the British Isles, largest in the Irish Sea

The Isles of Scilly, designated in 1975 as an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, are an archipelago off the southwestern tip of Cornwall, England. The island of St Agnes is the most southerly point in the United Kingdom, being over 4 miles further south than the most southerly point of the British mainland at Lizard Point. Scilly Isles, from the Anglo-Saxon syllan or sellan meaning 'giving from one person to another,' were once a haven for pirates and smugglers.

The Isle of Wight is a county and the largest and second-most populous island in England. It is in the English Channel, between 2 and 5 miles off the coast of Hampshire, separated by the Solent. The island has resorts that have been holiday destinations since Victorian times, and is known for its mild climate, coastal scenery, and verdant landscape of fields, downland and chines. The island is designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
