This is the Shannon black leather sandal with a wedge heel.  It is made by the French footwear company "PLDM by Pallidium"* in Portugal.  This is a finely crafted sandal.  The soft leather straps are backed by a tan leather lining.  In the Roman Gladiator style, this sandal features a wooden look wedge heel that turns to black leather as it goes past the heel.  The heel is approximately 2 1/2".  The shoes are listed as a 10 but in my experience a EUR 42 is an 11.  As I wear one size on my left foot and the larger on my right foot, I can only say that for me it fits both!
This listing is part of my goal to list all the beautiful shoes I have that I can no longer wear because of heel height or changes in my feet. This one unfortunately was rarely worn before the heel height I could handle went down.  The shoes were always stored with forms in place in the original box, wrapped in tissue.  They are in excellent condition as you can see from the photos.
There is a buckle closure. The strap has a small bit of elastic inserted so you can achieve a custom fit. The sandal retailed for more than $100.00.
The last photo shows the other PLDM sandal which is very close in style to this one which is also listed.  I hope you check my other listings.  Having come to the realization that issues will not change which would allow me to wear a heel or certain shoes, I am listing them dispite the fact that I love them!  All my life I have had to purchase more expensive quality shoes in order to fit my tricky feet.  My loss can be your gain.
Please do ask questions before you purchase.
THANKS!

*Palladium® was founded in 1920 to make tires for the fledgling aviation industry. Tires were made by layering canvas bands underneath vulcanized rubber. Palladium's expertise was so advanced that soon the majority of Europe's aircraft were using Palladium® tires.

After World War II, with aircraft manufacturing coming to a halt, the demand for tires decreased dramatically. Palladium® decided to open a plant in Pont De Cheruy, France, to start producing footwear that was as durable as their tires. In 1947 the legendary Pampa boot was born, and the functionality, comfort and durability were so outstanding that the French Foreign Legion adopted it for their own use. The Foreign Legion put the boot to the test in the harsh desert conditions of North Africa and throughout the rugged terrain of the Atlas Mountains.

Today, the original design, classic lines and time-tested utility are as relevant as they have ever been. Combining over 60 years of authenticity with modern manufacturing, premium materials and cutting-edge styling, Palladium® boots and shoes are ready to help you explore your street, your city, or the world!
